Hi Paula, thanks for joining this group. Would you have an interest in attending a three day biomimicry workshop in NE Ohio next spring? We are organizing the program now and would like to offer an invitation to you.

I represent no organization. I am employed by KeyLogic Systems. They are contracted by the DOE, but my interest is mostly personal.

What in nature inspires you?
The intelligent and powerful paradox of its simplicity and complexity in problem solving. It is the quintessential lean manufacturer, with beauty at no extra charge.
What do you have to offer to the NEO Biomimicry Action Network?
I'm a tech writer who edits and designs documents for the DOE's national lab (NETL) here in Pgh, PA. They work on carbon sequestration and biomass energy solutions. Aside from this, I've always been interested in biomimicry, before there was a term for it! I just stumbled upon you and I'm thrilled! I'd like to find a way to connect all the dots personally and professionally.
What do you need to put biomimicry to work?
A better education about it.
How have you used biomimicry design strategies?
No. But back in 1989 I did a presentation in front of the HR group in a previous job about how natural systems could be used as a pattern for improving corporate structure and communication. I was politely almost laughed out of the room, feeling terribly alone in my philosophy that I was convinced had validity. I'm excited to realize I'm no longer alone! I want to re-engage.
